Summary of Experience 

Steve is a TÜV Rheinland Functional Safety Trainer (FS Trainer (TÜV Rheinland, # 118/2025, SIS, PH&RA)) with over 35 years’ experience within the UK high hazard industries.

He has worked extensively in an operational environment in the C&I field and has then applied this knowledge within the design and consultancy environment to deliver pragmatic process and functional safety services to high hazard industry. Plus, has led both Technical Safety and Functional Safety Engineers within a consultancy / design office environment and provided corporate technical governance in the C&I field.

Steve has extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements for high hazard plants within the C&I field and has extensive experience representing operators during HSE intervention visits. Has a broad knowledge of the C&I discipline with specialised knowledge and experience of the application of functional safety standards within the process industry sector.
